Below freezing temperatures are a wonderful excuse to stay indoors and get caught up on your self-care to do list. While you're cozied up binging the latest Netflix series, take time to complete a few of these wellness-boosting activities.
1. Brew a steaming cup of green tea.
In addition to being sugar-free and zero calories, green tea has been proven to promote many areas of whole body health. Green tea contains various nutrients and antioxidants that help stimulate brain function, weight loss, athletic performance, and proper digestion. Regular consumption of green tea has also been proven to play a role in lowering your risk for certain infections, illnesses, diseases, and cancers.
2. Relax in a steam sauna.
Steam saunas are a great way to warm up your body and improve your overall health. In addition to relaxation and stress-reduction, steam saunas generate many other health benefits including improved circulation, skin hydration, joint health, and a boosted immune system.
3. Soak in a warm whirlpool tub. Whirlpool hot tubs promote many of the same health benefits as a steam sauna and can be an excellent way to recover after a long week of work or a strenuous workout.
