food sensitivity testing

+ BLOOD WORK

Our clinic provides comprehensive blood work and food sensitvity testing services to determine the underlying causes of your health conditions.  Knowledge is power. Call (580) 774-2214 to schedule a free consultation with Dr. Cook today!

Food allergies are the most commonly undiagnosed medical condition in America today.

WHY WE'RE DIFFERENT

The Oklahoma Health and Wellness Center provides some of the most comprehensive lab work and food sensitivity testing in the country. Whereas many facilities perform a limited lab analysis, our clinic explores every dimension of your bodily systems to ensure that there are no gaps in your health reports.  Dr. Cook and his team will then provide you with a detailed explanation of your blood work and make recommendations on treatment plans according to any areas of concern in your report.

In addition to blood work, our clinic provides in-depth food sensitivity testing performed from your blood samples.  Once your food allergy report is complete, you will be provided with a comprehensive analysis of your food sensitivities and directed with nutritional recommendations based on your results.

ARE FOOD SENSITIVITIES IMPACTING
YOUR WEIGHT LOSS EFFORTS?

Have you dieted repeatedly? Do you need to lose more than 20 pounds? Do you retain large amounts of fluids? Do you engage in binge eating? Are you often tired? Do you suffer from diarrhea or constipation? Do you suffer from joint or muscle pain? Do you experience anxiety and mood swings?

If you answered "YES" to three or more of these questions, food sensitivity testing may be the missing component enabling you to lose weight and keep it off!

FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS

HOW DO I KNOW IF I HAVE FOOD SENSITIVITIES?

Not all food sensitivities cause extreme allergic reactions. Some food sensitivities cause no outward reactions, but instead, cause inflammation and other negative reactions inside the body. Multiple factors within the digestive tract, musculoskeletal system, and neurological system can indicate some level of food sensitivity. Use our Food Sensitivity Symptom Scale to determine your need for food sensitivity testing.

HOW DO I LEARN ABOUT MY FOOD ALLERGIES?

Our food allergy testing is completed with a simple blood sample that analyzes over 100 different foods to give you a much more accurate representation of your body's food sensitivities compared to traditional testing methods. By using a blood sample, we can pinpoint exactly which foods your body digests easily and which foods are unwelcome to your body (which may be causing a variety of health problems). The blood sample can be completed within a few minutes and should be virtually painless.

When your blood sample arrives at the lab, it is processed and the serum containing food-specific IgG antibodies found in your blood are collected. A drop of each of these antibodies is placed in individual wells of a laboratory testing plate. These wells contain over 100 common foods, including a variety of vegetables, grains, meats, fish, dairy products, spices and seasonings. Specialized laboratory detection methods then determine exactly which foods your body is reacting to, and a personalized report is immediately dispatched, advising which foods you should avoid. Your comprehensive food sensitivity report will typically be returned to our clinic within 1-2 weeks.

WHAT IS INCLUDED IN MY FOOD ALLERGY REPORT?

  • A list of reactive foods your body is sensitive to (which you will temporarily avoid)

  • A list of foods your body shows no reactivity to (which you can enjoy without worry)

  • Your personalized meal plan

  • Helpful hints for grocery shopping

DO I HAVE TO AVOID THESE FOODS FOREVER?

No, not at all! Once you have followed the reactive food allergy health program for six months, you will be ready to start reintroducing the foods that were previously troublesome. You will be able to do this because your white blood cells only remember what foods were a problem for approximately two months. In most cases, you will be able to start eating those previously difficult foods again, carefully introducing one every few days at first to ensure that they no longer cause a reaction. There may be just one or perhaps two foods that still don't agree with you, and you will be able to try them again after another month or so.

Your reactive foods list, which will be given to you with our report, will guide you in making the dietary and lifestyle changes that will put you back on the road to health. In addition, we may advise you to use certain supplements during the withdrawal phase. These will help to heal your digestive system and rebalance intestinal flora so that you do not develop any new food allergies.
