PEDIATRICIAN JOINS
OU CHILDRENS PHYSICIANS
OKLAHOMA CITY Pediatrician William
J. Wells, M.D., has established his medical practice with OU Childrens
Physicians. He sees patients in The Childrens Hospital at OU MEDICAL
CENTERs Neonatal Intensive Care Unit (NICU), where care is provided
for newborns with life-threatening conditions, including premature babies
and those born with serious illness, birth defects or injuries.
In addition to his training in pediatrics, Wells is board-certified
in internal medicine and specializes in inpatient medicine. He has
a specific interest in pain medicine.
Wells completed a combined
residency in pediatrics and internal medicine at the University of Texas
Medical Branch, Galveston, where he also received his medical degree.
OU Childrens Physicians practice
as part of OU Physicians, Oklahomas largest physician group. The
practice encompasses nearly every child and adult medical specialty. More
than 100 of these physicians committed their training and, now, their
practices to the care of children. OU Children's Physicians are board-certified
pediatrics specialists who treat thousands of kids each year. Some have
pioneered surgical procedures or innovations in patient care that are
world firsts.
OU Physicians see patients in their offices
at the OU Health Sciences Center and in Edmond, Enid and other cities
around Oklahoma. When hospitalization is necessary, they often admit patients
to The Childrens Hospital at OU MEDICAL CENTER. Many children with
birth defects, critical injuries or serious diseases who cant be
helped elsewhere come to OU Childrens Physicians. Oklahoma doctors
and parents rely on OU Childrens Physicians depth of experience,
nationally renowned expertise and sensitivity to childrens emotional
needs.
