in 1985 as the result of the sale of Presbyterian Hospital to
Hospital Corporation of America.
- Presbyterian Health Foundations major
focus is medical research and medical education that is primarily
conducted at the OU Health Sciences Center and the Oklahoma Health
Center.
- Since 1985, Presbyterian Health Foundation
has made 853 grants totaling $77.3 million.
- Presbyterian Health Foundation also makes
grants for clinical pastoral education, community health-related
programs and resource development through technology transfer.
- Presbyterian Health Foundation promotes economic
development in the biotech area and has built the first three
buildings and the first phase of structured parking in the Oklahoma
Health Center Research Park at a cost of approximately $50 million.
- Presbyterian Health Foundation has invested
more than $77.3 million in grant awards since 1985, including
$67 million to the Oklahoma Health Center, and has also invested
$50 million in the Oklahoma Health Center Research Park.
