- Oklahoma Medical Research Foundation is a
private, non-profit biomedical research institute.
- OMRF attracts dollars to Oklahoma each time
a National Institutes of Health (NIH) or other grant is awarded
or contribution is received.
- OMRF employs more than 400 highly trained
individuals and provides a working environment for 125 additional
research personnel employed by other institutions at the Oklahoma
Health Center.
- Out of 150 institutions, OMRF ranks third
in inventions per 100 faculty. Only Cal Tech and St. Elizabeths
in Boston were rated higher than OMRF.
- OMRFs mission in biomedical research
is a valued resource to the growing biotechnology industry throughout
