CRITICAL CARE SPECIALIST JOINS OU PHYSICIANS

Pamela R. Roberts, M.D., F.C.C.M., F.C.C.P., has been named division chief of critical care medicine, department of anesthesiology, at the University of Oklahoma College of Medicine. She holds the John A. Moffitt Endowed Chair of Anesthesiology and has also established her medical practice with OU Physicians, working primarily in surgical intensive care units.

Roberts is board-certified in critical care medicine and internal medicine. She has a special interest in the effects of critical illness on nutritional status and glycemic control, renal and cardiovascular function, wound healing and quality improvement. She comes to OU Physicians from Wake Forest University School of Medicine, Department of Anesthesiology, Winston-Salem, N.C.  

Roberts completed a fellowship in critical care medicine at Bowman Gray School of Medicine, Winston-Salem, and completed a residency in internal medicine at Georgetown University Hospital, Washington, D.C. She earned her medical degree at the University of Texas Health Sciences Center at San Antonio.

Roberts is a member of the Society of Critical Care Medicine, the American Thoracic Society, the American College of Chest Physicians and the American Society of Parenteral and Enteral Nutrition.
